...In Nova Scotia the history and form of #racism directed towards the #African- #NovaScotian population is #different from its expression towards the Mi'kmaw people. The #slavery and broken promises that brought African-Nova Scotian people here, killing thousands, was the result of racism. The appropriation of land and resources that pushed the Mi'kmaw people onto tiny, inadequate reserves, killing thousands, were also the result of racism.
